The Penyagolosa Trails HG races (MiM and CSP) are held in Natural Park of Penyagolosa, Natural Monument of Camí dels Pelegrins, Sanctuary of Sant Joan de Penyaglosa,… places of natural beauty and of great cultural tradition and history to the region.

To further increase the respect and relationship with the area and the environment, Penyagolosa Trails HG, Fundación Trinidad Alfonso and the Castellón County have set out a strategic plan based of the guidelines established in the UNE-ISO 20.121 about Sustainable Events Certification.

The general commitments acquired are:

  • To increase the purchase of local, ethical, sustainable goods and services.
  • Enhanced waste management.
  • To promote responsible water use.
  • To promote and favour group travel.
  • To inform and educate people at the event to be a part of sustainable practices.
  • Protect and conserve the natural environment.
  • To reduce, wherever possible, the amount of physical and sensorial barriers.
  • To communicate sustainable values.
  • To develop the appreciation of the natural environment with social and cultural values of the area.
  • Increase awareness and visibility of the social and cultural diversity that lives in Castellón.

To achieve positive results and real benefits, everyone’s collaboration is essential. We invite you to collaborate!

Remember that you can also collaborate by reducing your Carbon Footprint or greenhouse gas emissions using buses enabled by the organization (buses from Alforí to Sant Joan, available from 09:00 AM until opening access to Sant Joan), as well as sharing vehicle through Amovens

For a common challenge: with small gestures, we achieved great achievements
